At Your Chef Yaza, sustainability is at the heart of everything I do. As a personal meal prep chef working in my clients' homes, I am committed to making choices that are good for both people and the planet.
Living in the Monterey Bay area provides us with incredible access to fresh, local seafood and seasonal produce. I take full advantage of our proximity to the Salinas Valley—known as the “Salad Bowl of the World”—by sourcing vibrant, locally grown fruits and vegetables whenever possible. I also prioritize sustainably caught fish from our nearby waters and grass-fed, ethically raised meats.
Cooking in clients’ homes allows me to tailor their meals to their exact needs, which helps reduce food waste and supports more mindful consumption. I focus on thoughtful menu planning, precise ingredient sourcing, and creative use of leftovers to minimize excess and maximize flavor.
In addition, I operate as a paperless business, utilizing digital tools for scheduling, communication, and billing to reduce unnecessary waste and streamline operations.
By blending local abundance with sustainable practices, I strive to nourish my clients while contributing to a healthier food system—one meal at a time.
